A FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT IN AVEIRO - PORTUGAL

I didn't know Catarina very well, but we crossed paths a few times because we grew up in the same town.

Her family, I already knew her to be beautiful, lighthearted, and relaxed, from what I observed, but even better that, was seeing her for herself.

In a quiet place, full of warm light and vast fields, we were able to capture exactly how they are. And to me, photographing families is all about letting them be: with serenity, a little bit of chaos and love.

Together we created a happy memory, of a phase that passes by so quickly.

I have to confess that I've felt particularly happy with the family sessions I've been documenting and perhaps this one will explain why. It's the colors, the poem I see when I observe them. It's the innocence and the smiles. The freedom to simply document, without intervening.

This family photoshoot happened in Ovar, and reminded me of the importance to capture memories without ny big reason. If you love and care, you’ll want to preserve that legacy.
